  4. Oh, and it looks like you've mis-marked Alto Diablo on your course map. It looks like you've marked point 10,500 as the summit. The actual summit is 10,583 which is a bit further west. It's probably just a mis-marking on the map, and you probably know where the actual summit is, but I thought I'd point it out just in case. The actual summit is south of the trail. The point marked on your course map is north of the trail. Here's a map link (below). The false point is "A". The true summit is "B". Dunno if it matters, because it's an epic no matter how you slice it. :)

    1. Karen, I'll be taking all my food with me, pretzels, nuts, honey, gummy bears, jerkey, things that I know I like to eat "out there." Since there is NO source of water on the course I'll have to cache water at several places. It's something I've been considering seriously for some time, just where to place them and when. Thanks for your good wishes, Karen.

    2. There is water at all the points I've marked on the map link below, but they'd pretty much all cause you to go off route to get the water. Caching is the right idea I think.

  8. Looks like a blast Paul! I'm sure you've already considered this, but the aqueduct trail would provide an easier way to return to the conservancy from Mill peak. Good luck!

  9. Thanks for the suggestion, Brad. Yes, I've been considering it. I don't think it shortens it much, but would save a couple hundred feet climb back to the base of Allen.
